Caerleon College University of Wales

© Tom Prescott

Situated in its own  attractive and secure grounds, Caerleon Campus of the University of Wales College, Newport, overlooks the old and picturesque village of Caerleon in the beautiful Vale of Usk - yet is only 10 minutes from Newport Train and Bus Stations (we collect & return you) - and only 5 minutes from the M4 motorway.

Quality accommodation is provided in the new student village only 100 yards in front of the main building pictured above. Each flatlet has only five bedrooms, with all delegates receiving a single, and en-suite bedroom, complete with shower, linen including duvet covers, and even complimentary bathroom toiletries. Each flatlet has complimentary tea and coffee provided.

Catering is an area in which we excel, and WRITERS' HOLIDAY insists on a goodly supply of quality, wholesome food, with vegetarian choices. Delegates receive breakfast (from a roll to full English), morning coffee & biscuits, a full hot or cold lunch, afternoon tea  with biscuits, and full three-course evening dinner daily throughout the event.

Caerleon was the headquarters of the Roman barracks, Bath House, Amphitheatre and new Legionary museum and includes many buildings of interest as well as a selection of public houses, shops and a craft centre. It is situated in some of the most beautiful and unspoilt countryside in Britain, from the Wye Valley in the east to the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons to the north.
